i am not a ballerina, but i think about it an awful lot... sometimes when i dance, i wish i had toe-shoes to give me that little extra lift that the note calls for.... ive been thinking about getting some, but fear being fitted and
"talked to" by professionals.

well, last night i dreamed that i was teaching a young person about ballet. posistion #1, the child wasnt listening or watching me and i was getting annoyed. then, the child raised up on to her/his (i couldnt tell) toes and became very excited. i put my hand on his? shoulder and pushed firmly til she? was rooted flatly on the ground. i was angry- saying things like: "you cant do that 'til you know all of the basics!!! you will hurt your feet!!! you cant do that!!"

i was sad when i thought back on this dream. i wish the child would have turned to me and said "screw you!" and floated around the room on toes. but i guess i was the child, and so i have decided to go and purchase toe shoes tomorrow. so, ill say this- to my fear of judgement: "screw you". hee hee.
